PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily lay an optical cable in a thin main pipe and a branch pipe among sewer pipes without disturbing a sewage flow nor hindering the maintenance of sewerage and to prevent a rat from climbing up the optical cable.

SOLUTION: An optical cable anchor 7 used to lay optical cables 5 and 6 in a sewer pipe extending between a manhole and a public inlet or between manholes is characterized in that it is provided with a nearly C-shaped engagement part 7a which engages the inner circumferential surface of a sewer pipe opening of the manhole or the public inlet with a cut part down, an engagement flange part 7b which projects outward from the engagement part and engages the outside part of the sewer pipe of the manhole or the public inlet, insertion type cable clips 7g and 7h which have press members always energized by elastic members to press a support wire of the optical cable through the operation of a wedge surface or cam and are provided in the engagement part to clamp and fix the support wire of the optical cable on the engagement part, and a rat stopper 7i.
