A washing machine is provided with: a washing tub (3); an agitating part (20) for agitating laundry inside the washing tub (3); a water supply part for supplying water inside the washing tub (3); a loading part (6) for loading a softener or a fragrance that includes a fragrance ingredient inside the washing tub (3); and a control device for controlling the agitating part (20), the water supply part, and the loading part (6). In a rinsing step wherein at least water drainage, a spinning operation, water supply, and an agitation operation are sequentially performed, the control device provides a soaking period for including the fragrance ingredient in the laundry before the agitation operation or during the agitation operation, after the softener or the fragrance that includes a fragrance ingredient has been loaded from the loading part (6) when the water supply part is supplying water. |
