PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make three-dimensional measurements of the speed and direction of the flow of undergroundwater easily performable with high precision, and simultaneously, to make the measurements and photographing for search of measuring positions inside a borehole performable by use of one camera. SOLUTION: A prism 1 and a CCD camera 2 which constitute a parallactic optical system are built into a probe 3 and the probe is inserted into a borehole 4. An image of the lower portion of the interior of the borehole and an image of the circumferential wall of the borehole are taken with the CCD camera 2 through the prism 1 at the same time. After the position where the probe 3 is to be installed within the borehole is determined by monitoring the image of the circumferential wall, the speed and direction of the three-dimensional flow of undergroundwater are calculated from the movement of an image of a tracer 16 on a plurality of screens with different parallaxes in the image of the lower portion. |
