<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive packet switching device capable of controlling bands in each subscriber, preferentially transmitting a packet requiring instantaneousness and eliminating the necessity of a large-scale scheduler and having a high throughput. <P>SOLUTION: The packet switching device is provided with a plurality of packet repeating means 3 each of which corresponds to any one of a plurality of receiving parts 1 and any one of a plurality of transmitting parts 2, receives a packet transferred from the corresponding receiving part 1 and transfers the packet to the corresponding transmitting part 2. Each packet repeating means 3 is provided with a plurality of storage means 9 for storing packets transferred from respective receiving parts 1, a storage notification means 4 notifies the storage of the packet to the transmitting part 2 corresponding to the packet repeating means 3 concerned and a storage output means 10 instructed to output the packet from the transmitting part outputs the packet to the storage means having the highest priority. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
