PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition of an insect pest controlling agent dissolving a sparingly soluble insecticidal ingredient which is extremely scarcely soluble even within the wide range of concentration, exhibiting excellent stability with time and extremely safe such as a high flash point and low toxicity even in practical aspects. SOLUTION: This composition of the insect pest controlling agent comprises the sparingly soluble insecticidal ingredient. Furthermore, the composition of the insect pest controlling agent comprises a stock solution prepared by dissolving the sparingly soluble insecticidal ingredient in a glycerol ester of a fatty acid, a polyglycerol ester of the fatty acid or a polyoxyethylene glycerol ester of the fatty acid.
