OPTICAL FIBER COIL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce lateral pressure applied to an optical fiber.

SOLUTION: This optical fiber 1 is provided with: a lower collar 2; a coil barrel 3 erected on the inner surface of the lower collar 2; a coil part 5 including the optical fiber wound around the outer circumferential surface of the coil barrel 3; a plurality of fixing members 10a1 to 10a4 arranged on the top end face 5a opposite to the lower collar 2 of the coil part 5 and on an annular outer side face 5b connecting to the coil part end face 5a and respectively fixing the coil part top end face 5a and the annular outer side face 5b; an upper collar 16 arranged apart from the coil part top end face 5a by a prescribed interval; and an insertion member 20 inserted between the top end face 3a of the upper collar 16 side of the coil barrel 3 and the upper collar 16.
