<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To classify documents based on a defined security level and on a storage period by focusing attention on disposal of documents and on a requested security level most annoying a user in the life cycle from the creation of the documents to the disposal thereof, in a document control system with a plurality of document storage devices combined together. <P>SOLUTION: This document control system is provided with: a means for imparting, in registering new documents, attributes for classifying the documents into ones causing storage obligation and general ones without causing the obligation to discriminate them from each other; a storage unit 34 for storing the documents causing the obligation by providing each of them with a security function as a document needing high protection; and a storage unit 35 for storing the general documents. The system is also provided with: a means for setting the storage period for each document in registering new documents; and storage units 36, 37 and 38 for storing the documents by dispersing them to the respective storage periods. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
