PURPOSE: A device and a method for maintaining horizontality of a driver's seat, using a driver's seat gradient sensor are provided to conveniently travel by maintaining driver's posture and reducing fatigue and a pain in the back. CONSTITUTION: A device for maintaining horizontality of a driver's seat, using a driver's seat gradient sensor includes a driver's seat rotating right and left around a support(15); a resistance track part(12) having a resistor with an incoming side for applying 5V and an out-coming side for ground; a sensor part(10) horizontally supported to the lower end of the support, to output the voltage value by a variable resistance value through a resistance brush(11) contacting with the resistance track part; and an ECU(Electronic Control Unit,13) deciding the voltage value input from the sensor unit and then maintaining horizontality of the driver's seat through an actuator(14). The resistance track part rotates circularly together with the driver's seat.
