摘要 PURPOSE: Provided are chromia-molybdenum-based powder for thermal spray coating, which have excellent wear resistance and low friction effect to improve the performance and life of a mechanical component to which the coating layer is applied. CONSTITUTION: The composite chromia-molybdenum-based powder comprise 75-97 wt% of chromia(Cr2O3) and 3-25 wt% of molybdenum(Mo) or oxides thereof(MoO2, MoO3). The composite powder has a particle size of 30-70 micrometers. The thermal spray ceramic coating layer formed from the composite powder has a porosity of 10-20% in the case that the coating layer comprises molybdenum, and up to 10% in the case that the coating layer comprises molybdenum oxides, respectively, expressed in the surface area proportion.
