PURPOSE: A steel belt driving type robot is provided to prevent a steel belt from sliding by forming protrusions and guide grooves at the outer circumference of a pulley and the steel belt, respectively. CONSTITUTION: A steel belt driving type robot is composed of a body(20), cylindrical pulleys(22) installed at both sides of the body, a steel belt coupled to the pulleys and rotated by the pulleys, an actuator coupled to one pulley, and a movable body(28) coupled to the steel belt and slidably supported on the body. A plurality of protrusions are formed at the outer circumference of the pulley. Guide grooves are formed at the steel belt, and are fit into the protrusions.
