<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag of a head part protection airbag device capable of generating large tension at the lower edge side along the fore-and aft direction at the completion of expansion, and appropriately protecting an occupant by securing a wide protected area in the fore-and-aft direction. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag 12 of the head part protection airbag device is folded and stored in an upper edge side of the window including a front pillar part. The airbag 12 is equipped with a gas inflow part 15. An expansion shielding part 19 of the gas inflow part 15 is equipped with a plurality of protection expansion parts 20, 21A, 21B. The front side protection expansion part 20 disposed at the front end side is constituted so that a plurality of longitudinal expansion parts 23 formed along the vertical direction are provided in parallel along the fore-and aft direction. The rear side protection expansion parts 21A, 21B disposed at the rear side than the front side protection expansion part 20 are constituted so that a plurality of lateral expansion parts 24 formed along the fore-and-aft direction are disposed along the vertical direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
