<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for remotely controlling a home information appliance terminal within a dwelling house or an automobile with radio communication function by use of a mobile communication terminal with an IC card, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: This remote control system of the home-electronics information terminal using the IC card remotely utilizes the mobile communication terminal 20, the IC card 201, and a mobile communication network to remotely control home information appliances terminals 11-15, 19 and 40. In an automatic control mode, when it is detected that the mobile communication terminal 20 carried by a user is moved from a cell area EL where the dwelling house is to an external cell area CR adjacent thereto in going-out, the mobile communication terminal commands the change of a specified home information appliance terminal to going-out status. When it is detected that the mobile communication terminal carried by the user in going home is moved from the adjacent cell area CR to the cell area EL where the dwelling house is, the mobile communication terminal commands the change of the specific home information appliance terminal to staying status.
