<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a frame shaped difference in luminance from occurring in a part surrounding a light transmission region. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel region on a substrate SUB1 constituting a liquid crystal display has the transmission region LTA transmitting light and a reflection region LRA reflecting light. The light transmission region LTA has a first pixel electrode TPX consisting of a translucent conductive layer. In the light reflection region LRA, a second pixel electrode RPX consisting of a non-translucent conductive film is formed. A storage capacitance electrode connected to a storage capacitance line CL is formed on a layer lower than the second pixel electrode RPX. The storage capacitance electrode is formed of a light shielding material, is disposed on a place overlapping with a boundary part of the light transmission region LTA and the light reflection region LRA and prevents the frame shaped difference in luminance from occurring in the part surrounding the light transmission region LTA. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
