<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron emitting element in which the current flowing under impression of pulse voltage is constant during the period from the start of the pulse to its end. SOLUTION: An electron emitting element is equipped on a base board with a pair of element electrodes positioned opposingly and a conductive thin film installed between the element electrodes and having an electron emission part, wherein the base board is furnished at least with a high thermal conduction layer having a thermal diffusivity D2 and a low thermal conduction layer formed between the high conduction layer and conductive thin film and having a thermal diffusivity D1, and thereby the condition D1<D2 should be met.</p> |
