Disclosed is the use of compounds of formula (I) in the manufacture of a medicament for treating or preventing heart rhythm disturbances in mammal that would benefit from the induction of negative dromotropic action, negative chronotropic action, or a combination thereof, wherein: R1 is C3-7secondary alkyl, or C3-8cycloakly, and R2 is C1-4alkyl, C1-4hydroxyalkyl or C3-5cycloalkyl. Also disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions in unit dosage forms comprising compounds of formula (I) in amounts effective to treat or prevent heart rhythm disturbances in mammals. Typically the amount is from 1 to 50 ìg/kg of body weight.
