PURPOSE: A remote control method used for a TV set is provided to increase user's convenience with respect to watching a TV program by easily recognizing a location of a remote controller. CONSTITUTION: A transmission button(12) is mounted at a certain portion of a TV set(10). A remote controller(18) outputs a certain signal according to a signal transmitted to the transmission button(12). The remote controller(18) includes an antenna, a receiver for receiving the signal transmitted from the transmission button(12) through an antenna, an amplifier for amplifying the signal received by the receiver, and an output unit for outputting the amplified signal as a specific signal. The output unit includes a light emitting unit and a sound generator to meet TV user's demands. The remote controller(18) includes a light emitting device(14) and a speaker(16). The output unit can also include a select switch so that the user can easily and selectively operate one of the light emitting unit and the sound generator.
