<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic powder and its precursor capable of forming an oriented ceramic having a high orientation degree and having a high insulation property. <P>SOLUTION: The ceramic powder and its precursor are used for making the oriented ceramic used for various sensors or devices. The precursor is composed of a plate-like powder of the ceramic having a lamellar perovskite-type crystal structure containing bismuth and Bi<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>. The ceramic powder is composed of plate-like particles of the ceramic having the lamellar perovskite-type crystal structure containing bismuth, and an average aspect ratio of the plate-like particles is not less than 3 and also the content of impure anion in the ceramic powder is not more than 1,000 ppm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
