<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such an image defect that causes a shortage of density at a boundary between a high density part and a low density part when a DC bias is increased in performing an image quality stabilizing control of keeping the image density constant by a DC bias control. <P>SOLUTION: A threshold value for the DC bias control is detected, and when reaching the threshold value, the control is switched to the image quality stabilizing control by a means other than the DC bias. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
