<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive which suppresses degradation of individual LDs by using two LDs and records data on an optical disk by using laser beams radiated from the individual LDs effectively. <P>SOLUTION: In recording data, an optical disk drive 1 uses an objective lens 18a to condense a laser beam emitted from an LD 11 on a data recording position and to irradiate a peripheral part approximately centered around a data recording part with a laser beam emitted from an LD2. In erasing data, the optical disk drive uses an objective lens 18b to superimpose laser beams emitted from the LD11, LD12 and to radiate a beam whose diameter is large and which is extended over a plurality of tracks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
