1. A method of identifying and/or selecting an iron deficiency chlorosis (IDC) tolerant soybean plant or part thereof, comprising;
(a) isolating a nucleic acid from a soybean plant or part; (b) detecting in said nucleic acid, the presence of a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) marker associated with IDC tolerance in a soybean plant, wherein said marker is located within a chromosomal interval comprising physical positions 1035989-1401213 on Soybean chromosome 5, and further wherein said chromosomal interval comprises (i) a G allele at SY0152AQ; (ii) a G allele at SY0723BQ; (iii) a G allele at SY0724AQ; (iv) a SEQ ID NO: 301 insertion at SY1154AQ; and (v) a A allele at SY0153AQ as described in Table 2; and (c) thereby identifying and/or selecting an iron deficiency chlorosis (IDC) tolerant soybean plant or part thereof. |
