<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when a rear-side LCD is irradiated, an LED of the same setting as a surface LCD must be irradiated which causes large power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: Of the double-side light-emitting lighting device equipped with a light guide plate having light-irradiating faces on both opposing sides, a plurality of light sources arranged in proximity on the side face of the light guide plate, surface LCDs on one of the irradiating faces of the light guide plate and rear-face LCDs on the other irradiating face, the plurality of light source LEDs, e.g. six of them, comprise four LEDs 5a for surface LCD-side lighting, and two LEDs 5b for rear-face LCD-side lighting, that is, power source input ports are of two systems of surface irradiation and rear-face irradiation. The LEDs 5b for rear-face LCD lighting are arranged between the LEDs for surface LCD-side lighting. In interlocking with switching by the opening and closing of a case of electronic equipment such as a cellphone mounting the double-side light-emitting lighting device, power are supplied to the two systems of the LEDs. The LED lighting is interlocked with the surface and rear-face lighting for varying the number of the LEDs lit to restrain power consumption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
