The method for predicting angiopathy and thrombosis of the retina depending on the arterial blood pressure provides for assessing the following parameters: the blood viscosity, the fibrinolytic activity, the maximal blood flow rate in the orbital artery, the minimal blood flow rate at the end of diastole, the cardiac output, the total peripheral resistance, the caliber of the arteries and veins, the perfusion pressure. Then step-by-step discriminant analysis is performed and the statistically significant parameters for the patients with different values of the arterial blood pressure are estimated. Finally, the values taken up by the corresponding function are calculated. If the function takes on the positive value, the risk of angiopathy should be taken into account. If the function takes on the negative value, the risk of thrombosis is to be regarded.
