摘要 A method for reducing picture switching flickers of an electrophoretic display and an electrophoretic display. The method comprises: receiving target grayscale information displayed by a pixel point; determining a driving waveform of a direct current balance compensation driving signal by a new grayscale refreshing and writing driving signal of the pixel point in a previous state; driving the pixel point to be in a first extreme state from an original grayscale by means of a first extreme state driving signal; driving the pixel point to switch to a second extreme state from the first extreme state by means of a second extreme state driving signal; then applying the direct current balance compensation driving signal to enable an electrophoretic display to keep a direct current balance; and finally switching a pixel to a target grayscale by means of the new grayscale refreshing and writing driving signal, wherein a voltage polarity of the second extreme state driving signal is the same as a voltage polarity of the direct current balance compensation driving signal. Optimizing a driving waveform and integrating various stages of the driving waveform may reduce the number of times a display screen of an electrophoretic display device flickers, and improve the degree of comfort during picture switching of an electrophoretic electronic paper.
