<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and light hybrid compressor driver for eliminating a loss of external power and enhancing the reliability of the external power. <P>SOLUTION: A relay 11 as a current blocking means is provided between a battery 1 and an inverter circuit 8, and blocks a current from the inverter circuit 8 to the battery 1. When a rotation frequency of an engine 69 as the external power is high, a waste load is not applied to the engine 69, a high voltage is not applied to an inverter apparatus and comfort air conditioning is maintained within a vehicle by turning off a clutch 44 and driving a compressing section using a DC brushless motor 9.
