The mechanism has a knuckle joint with dead center passage, and including one pair of connecting rods coupled with a leaf by a transmission unit, and another pair of connecting rods driven by a hydraulic jack (VR). The jack is connected to a control rod (26) and a control lever that cooperate with a locking bar (23) for assuring positive locking of the leaf during crossing dead center of the knuckle joint.
