<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic motor with a torque control mechanism in which a preload of the ultrasonic motor is adjusted properly by inserting a wire having one end connected to a rotor through the hollow hole of a stator thereby adjusting tension properly, and to provide a robot mounted with the ultrasonic motor. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic motor comprises a wire 3 having one end connected to a rotor 2 and inserted into a hollow hole 1a passing the center of the rotation A of the rotor 2 thus penetrating a stator 1, and a tension adjusting means 5 laid in a layer together with piezoelectric elements 11, 12, 13 and 14 in the stator 1 and stretching integrally to the middle of an outer surface and then bonded to the lower end of the wire 3 suspending on the lower opening end B side of the hollow hole 1a with an outwardy extended suspension flange 15 embedded in its flange. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
