The present invention provides a method for preparing a conjugated diene and a preparing apparatus used therefor, wherein steam can be utilized that is converted from the lower discharge water, which is discharged after a generation gas containing butadiene is cooled, through byproduct removal and steam extraction without being directly subjected to wastewater disposal; and the existing burden of facilities for biological wastewater due to an excessive content of byproducts can be solved.
