PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication output system which surely executes outputting without adding any special program to a host terminal even when many output requests are simultaneously generated.

SOLUTION: A network printer 200 transfers received print data to a data server 300 when receiving the print data from the host terminal 100 and creates authentication information by extracting a user ID from the received print data. The network printer 200 reads, when an authentication card is given, the user ID from the authentication card, acquires the print data from the data server 300 when determining that the printer is qualified to utilize the print data, on the basis of the created authentication information and the read user ID, and makes printing according to the acquired print data.
