<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide device for ultrasonic motors for preventing abrasion powder from escaping from the gap between an abrasion powder removal pad and the contacting surface of a movable body and from being scattered to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: The guide device comprises: an ultrasonic motor 500, having an oscillator for performing elliptic motion and an abrasion member 56 for transmitting the elliptic motion of the oscillator; the movable body 64 that has a contacting surface 64a in contact with the abrasion member 56 and is provided so that it can travel by the friction drive between the abrasion member 56 and the contacting surface 64a; and a casing 1 that surrounds the ultrasonic motor 500 and is open to the side of the movable body 64.
