<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular pup-up hood device preventing or suppressing delay in elevation of a hood on the center side in the vehicle-width direction. <P>SOLUTION: An actuator 90 is fixed to an innermost position in the substantially vehicle width direction within a side wall 24 of a suspension tower 22. A position where a piston head of the actuator 90 presses the hood 70 is thereby inward in the vehicle width direction from a hood hinge 44 and a reinforcement member 78 arranged inside the hood 70. In addition, the position is outward in the vehicle width direction from a center (a position of a dotted line C2) between a center (a position of a dotted line C1) of the hood 70 along the vehicle-width direction and a mounting position of the hood hinge 44. The inward side in the vehicle-width direction is then pressed by the piston head more sufficiently than the both end parts of the hood 70 along the vehicle-width direction, which prevents or suppresses the delay in elevation of the center side of the hood 70 compared with positions near the both end parts along the vehicle-width direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
