1359191 Silver halide emulsions EASTMAN KODAK CO 16 July 1971 [20 July 1970] 33415/71 Heading G2C A light-sensitive, internal image, unfogged silver halide emulsion comprises silver halide grains having at least one metal dopant occluded therein and an electron-acceptor compound having a cathodic half-wave potential more positive than -1.0. The metal dopant is preferably a polyvalent metal ion e.g. iridium bismuth, gold or osmium ions. The electron-acceptor compound preferably does not have a primary absorption peak either in the infrared or in the visible region of the spectrum. Examples of such compounds given are organic dyes e.g. ethine and polymethine dyes which contain at least one desensitizing nucleus, tetrazolium salts, and Schiff bases of colour developing agents which are employed in colour diffusion transfer processes. |
