Coal delivery system - supplies blast furnace with pulverized coal

Coal delivery system introduces pulverised coal in dense phases fluidised form from gas pressurised tanks which are connected in sequence to the blast furnace. The flow rate of the pulverised fuel is regulated according to the blast furnace wind rate. The coal is transported by a carrier gas whose flow rate is regulated in accordance with the coal flow rate. The tanks are kept replenished with pulverised coal. Three tanks are pref. used so that while one tank is feeding coal, one is in reserve and the third is being refilled from a reservoir.
