<p>Spindles of multiple spinning or twisting machines in a textile mill have yarn break detectors which signal the presence on the machine side of broken yarns, the signals being fed to a discriminator which distinguishes the signalling of a predetermined number of broken yarns at a machine side location, and which is connected to a warning at signalling device at or near the machine side location so as to energise the device when the number of broken yarns exceeds the predetermined number, the latter being selected as that number which causes inefficient operating conditions to be in existence so that attention by an operator is needed.</p> |
