The removal of the pectin is carried out with an at the most 5% solution of said ammonium salt at a temperature of 80-100‹C for 20-60 minutes. The treatment to reduce the lignin content may be carried out with a 5-20 % solution of sodium chlorite at a temperature of 50- 100‹C for 20-90 minutes and with a subsequent treatment with a 2-10% alkaline solution at a temperature of 50-100‹C during 20-60 minutes. The fibres are subsequently bleached with a known oxidising agent, softened in known manner and dried.</p> |
