<p>Compsns. for coating pathways and sports and games areas include (A) an aq. dispersion of synthetic resin, pref. PVAc, or an aq. latex dispersion, pref. an aqs. dispersion of butadiene polymer or butadiene/styrene, butadiene/acrylonitrile, or butadiene/styrene/vinylpyridine copolymers, (B) an aq. bitumen emulsion, (C) a filler such as silica fluor and (D) >=1 oxide colourant, pref. a metal oxide with ZnO. The compsn. pref. also contains rubber granules in the proportion of 20-35% by wt. of the total mixture. The basic mixture is pref. 66% of (A), 4-5% of (D), 0-6% of (B) and 20-27% of (C). The coatings are sufficiently flexible to avoid risk of cracking.</p> |
