One or both clamping jaws of the yarn clamp is provided with a nose portion which projects across the path of a yarn to serve as a guide to center the yarn into the clamping zone of the jaws. The guide nose can be integrally formed with the jaw or can be separately made and secured to the jaw. The side of the nose facing a yarn forms a right angle or an obtuse angle with the clamping surface. |
