<p>1359912 Bat and ball game J E C WARREN 6 Oct 1972 [21 March 1972] 46259/72 Heading A6D A game kit consists of a post 13, a target ball 12 adapted to rest on the post a bat 11 and a playing ball 15. It may also include means 17, 18, 19 for marking the boundary of a playing area. The target ball 12 can be a perforated hollow ball mounted on the post 13 and tethered thereto. The bat can have a thong attached to the handle and a protective sleeve attached to its bottom edge (Figs. 8, 9, not shown). Various types of post mountings are described (Figs. 2, 3, 4, 5, not shown). The object of the game is for players outside the playing area to dislodge the target ball 12 with the ball 15 whilst the batsman defends the target and endeavours to score runs by hitting the ball and running to the boundary line.</p> |
