The novel title cpds. are of formula (I): (where R is H or =4C alkyl; r1 and R2 are independently opt. branched =8C alkyl, cyclopropyl or cyclobutyl, or together with the C atom to which they are attached, may form cyclopropyl or cyclobutyl gps; X is NO2, amino, CF3, Cl, Br or I; Y is H, halogen, NO2, amino, lower alkyl-amino, di-lower alkylamino, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkanoyl, lower polyfluroalkyl, lower polyfluoroalkoxy, polyfluoroalkylthio, or NR3COR4 or NR3SO2R4 where R3 is H or lower alkyl, and R4 is H, lower alkyl, aralkyl or aryl, and Q is OH, lower alkoxy, aryl-lower alkoxy, lower alkanoyloxy, aryl-lower alkanoyloxy or a gp. of formula (II): where E is O or S, all the lower alkyl, alkoxy and alkanoyl gps. contg. =6C atoms with the provisos that X and Y are not simultaneously amino, that Y is not H or Cl when X is Cl, R is H, R1 and Ri are CH3 and Q is OH; and that CR1R2 does not form a cyclopropyl go. when X and Y are both cl, R is H and Q is CH3O) including the pharmaceutically acceptable acid addn. salts of the cpds. in which Y is amino or substd. amino, and/or X is amino. |
