<p>Pharmaceutical compsns contain as active component a 3-carbamoyloxy-k-methylisothiazole of formula: (where R1 is H, 1-6C alkyl; R2 is 1-6c alkyl). Cpds (I) are antibacterial and antifungal agents suitable for pharmaceutical use in addn. to the industrial uses described in the parent patent. They have low toxicity and are useful in treating infections of skin and mucous membrane, and for major fungal infections such as visceral and septicaemia candidiasis in man and animals.</p> |
