<p>Measurement of the concentration of a component in a liquid stream using attenuated totally reflected infra-red radiation, in which a sample from the flow is illuminated by a beam having a wavelength corresponding to a characteristic absorption band of the component, in which the actual wavelength used is longer than the characteristic waveband. A filter is used with a peak wavelength longer than the peak absorption wavelength of the component substance. Increased sensitivity results.</p> |
