The machine consists of a frame (1) mounted on four wheels (3). On the frame is mounted the tined wheel (5) whose tines pass through slots cut in the share (4) and which passes the stubble dug up by the latter into the hammers of the rotor (6) which turns at 2,000 to 2,500 r.p.m. The share is adjustable for depth and blade angle by means of hydraulic jacks (12). The hammers pulverise the stubble and clods, which are turned to the soil, and are covered by a protective shield (2). A hanging screen of chains (7) behind the lower end of the hammer rotor also provides protection against flying stones.
|
