The thin, flat plate is made of metal, wood or plastic and slides over a feeding table. A wire cable is fixed to the front and back ends of the plate, and runs between a guide roller and a cable winch with drive motor. The return side of the cable runs in a groove in the sliding plate. The guide roller is pivot mounted in the a bearing sleeve fixed into a cavity in the ground. The sliding plate is loaded with fodder at one end, and then slowly glides over the feeding table. A worker on it dispenses the fodder to each side of the feeding table into feeding troughs. The winch and guide roller rotate on horizontal axis. The connection for the sliding plate protrudes in a slit in the middle of the bearing surface. The edges of the slit are covered by angle pieces, and the connections are in the form of T-bars resting on the angle pieces.
