<p>Diazamethine pigments of formula: (in which is a direct bond, 1-4C alkylene, cyclo-aliphatic, phenylene, diphenylene or naphthylene gp. with up to 3 non-ionic substits., or a gp. -W-B-W-, W is an aromatic gp. and B a simple bridge member or a heterocyclic ring system, Ar is naphthyl or phenyl with up to 3 lower alkyl, alkoxy, alkyl sulphonyl carbalkoxy, CF3, NO2, CN, lower alkanoylamino, carbonamido, or sulphonamido gps. and/or halogen atoms, pref. Cl or Br, as substits., or Ar si a benzimidazolone, chlorbenzimidaolone, quinazolone, quinoxaline, phthalimide or phthalazine gp. m and n are 0,1 or 2), are useful for pigmenting of printing inks, plastics, resins, paints, etc. in yellow to red shades. They give clear shades of high strength and transparency and have excellent storage stability and rheological properties in printing inks.</p> |
