<p>A carrier for a colour paste has a viscosity of 200-1000 (400-800) cp at 20 degrees C, and contains (a) 40-95 wt% of a sorbitan ester, e.g. the mono-laurate, mono-oleate, sesquioleate, tri-oleate, palmitate and/or mono- or tri-stearate, and (b) 5-60 wt% CaCO3. The colour pastes give better wetting of synthetic resin granules and powders. The resin granules remain free-flowing. The colour is uniformly distributed. The pastes can be used with all types of resin. Dust formation is avoided in colouring the resins.</p> |
