The holder is a slim tube of slim rectangular cross section, with a window (8, 22) on each major face, and an intermediate diaphragm (14) which defines two slender channels for the insertion and retention of coins etc. The diaphragm incorporates two spring elements (18) on each major face to ensure the retention of coins within, and the windows permit inspection and finger manipulated coin extraction. An apertured corner lug (6) is used for chain attachment. The holder comprises a base (1) receiving the diaphragm and an upper plate (20) the latter having two longitudinal ribs which engage in recesses (10) in the base (1) to hold the assembly together.
