IPS MODE LCD AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

An IPS(in-plane switching) mode LCD and a driving method thereof are provided to display an accurate image by speedily performing falling for input of next image data after liquid crystals respond to input of an image data. A pixel electrode(PE) is formed on a first substrate. A common electrode(CE) is formed on the first substrate parallel to the pixel electrode. A first electrode is formed on the first substrate in a direction of simultaneously intersecting the pixel electrode and the common electrode. A second electrode(2E) is formed on the first substrate parallel to the first electrode. The first electrode and the second electrode are formed of a transparent conductive material and a metal material, respectively. The first electrode and the second electrode are alternately formed.
