The fuel supply to the turbine combustion chamber is delivered by a variable output pressure pump rotated at a speed dependent upon that of the turbine. The pump delivers fuel to a hydraulic oscillator containing filter elements and a hot wire anemometer to give signals corresponding to the fluid vibrations. The output signals together with the output signals from a second anemometer arranged in the oscillator collection chamber are fed to a summing amplifier which gives an output corresponding to the fuel flow rate to the combustion chamber to a display unit and a comparator. The comparator also receives an input from a unit responding to revolution speed temperature compressor output and required output. The comparator output is then used to regulate a hydraulic servo unit to vary the fuel pump delivery rate.
