Magnetic band printer with data to be printed indication - endless loop passes erasing and recording heads

The magnetic band (MB) passes at uniform speed by a layer of liquid crystals (AS) before it reaches the printing station whereby the alphanumeric symbols (Z) recorded on the band are formed on this layer. A toner is applied to the band behind the viewing unit (AS, Sp) in the direction of movement of the band which is covered with a highly concentrated ink. The colour of the toner is in strong contrast to that of the magnetic band. The symbols are viewed as a reflection in the mirror (SP) of the viewing unit. Use of this unit enables the symbols to be viewed before the data is printed on paper or similar recording unit.
