Correcting embroidery faults on webs - by passing over inspection panel marking faults and removing stains and passing over table with sensor which controls correcting tools

Faults on embroidered webs are corrected by passing the webs which have been removed from the embroidering machine over an inspection panel which is adjustable and which is provided with a movable fault marker and stain remover associated with a suction source. Marked web is then passed over a working table having an optical sensor which is movable across the width of the web to produce a signal on detection of a fault to actuate an embroiderin gtool which is steered to the faulty section of the web whose feed is tripped. Subsequently a stentering frame is brought manually or automatically over the faulty section and correction of fault effected with the tool. Used for correcting quilting, sewing or embroidering faults on wens. Manual, time consuming and costly work is dispensed with.
