<p>The screw-down valve has a housing (1) consisting of two fittings (4, 5) in line with each other and one or more further pipe unions (2, 3). One of the fittings (4, 5) has screwed into it the valve assembly, comprising the plug (13), the spindle (12), the spindle guide (11) and the actuator (14). The valve seat (15) is formed at the inner end of the other of the two fittings. There can be a passage through the housing wall, and whose inner end is at the side of the seat furthest from the valve assembly, while its outer end is closed by a removable plug.</p> |
